(Re)Decorating

Something we're planning for my stepdaughter is to redo her room this Christmas. The poor thing doesn't have much by way of anything and she is definitely lacking in the girly room department. The thing that makes it slightly more challenging is that her dad likes to have higher quality things but that won't be too hard considering I'm always looking for a deal. I found a site that has a great listing of pottery barn coupons and a bunch of others. I love shopping so hopefully we can get the funds together and give her an awesome room without spending a ton of money!

Passie Away!

It's kind of a sensitive subject when it comes to pacifiers and child age, so I wouldn't be surprised if there were some who would be semi upset with this post. I'm very happy to announce that after a looooooong 4 1/2 years, No-No has finally given up hers! Well, it was rather involuntary and we're still going through it, but it's finally night two of her sleeping without it. There are so many positive things about me moving on from the ex, and this is one of them. She has developed so much since my BF came into the picture, i can't wait to see where she goes from here!

Football Tastes

My husband and I have the same taste in TV which is to say that we like the same Direct TV Packages. He got lucky with me though because I love football and I don’t think most women do…at least not to my extent. There’s something about a fall Saturday when the pigskin is going and there’s chili on the stove that makes me feel alive and I know he feels the same way. I’m so glad we get all the games at home so we don’t have to go to any sportsbar or anything and our friends like it, too. They’re always piling in on Saturdays to watch with us which is so fun – and we don’t even have to leave the house to socialize and get friend points! I can’t wait until we have a child someday and get to teach him or her how to play the game. And if it’s a girl at least I can hope that she’ll grow up to be a football cheerleader someday!

Knee Deep

I've done it again, I've gotten myself into a really bad financial position right before Christmas. I have no idea how I end up doing this every year, but it never seems to fail. I know this time was due to all my traveling during the earlier part of the year and every year the reason seems to change. This time I'm thinking about using one of those debt collection agencies because I always have a heck of a time trying to keep up with things, plus it will probably save me money having someone negotiate payments for me rather than trying only to not be able to afford it and get another fee. I hope I can get out of this mess soon, having it hang over your head is really a downer.
