Serra Bowl

Thanks for the article from Isaiah Gaines

I just moved into a house in Daly City about a month ago. One of the perks to where I now live is that I live one minute by foot to a bowling alley called Serra Bowl. What I love about Serra Bowl is how late they are open till. From Sunday to Thursday, they are open until 2 A.M., they are open till 4 A.M. on Fridays and they are open for 24 hours on Saturday. Since I get home from my shift around 11 P.M. and I'm up most nights well past 2 A.M., these hours are perfect. After grabbing a bite to eat after work, I usually grab a beer from my fridge, set my home security alarm from Securitychoice.com and walk over to the bowling alley for a few games of bowling to take the! edge off. Plus you can reserve lanes online. While they say they have 44 lanes (I've never bothered to count them though so you'll have to take their word for it), I still like to reserve the far lane online because I don't want to have to deal with high school kids. I just like to do my thing, get home to take a shower and get some well deserved sleep. It's just that sometimes doing my thing involves a few hours so it's nice that Serra Bowl is open so late.

Educated

My new special someone is a big computer geek. He lives in a town where there isn't a lot of demand for that kind of thing but I keep telling him that he needs to get an it degree anyway. It would be something he's interested in and something that he's good at. I'm not sure he's ready to go back to school quite yet, which I can't really blame him for. Both of us have been out of school for so long now that it's kind of weird to consider. I really would like to get a degree in some field but I haven't decided what yet either, but I know if I had direction like he does I would have already been pursing an it degree.

Reinventing

The cigar shop downtown decided to remodel. I think it's awesome that they're expanding because those types of things are disappearing more and more. It used to be that you could find cigar shops in many places large and small but now there are few that have a decent collection. The one here carries a good variety of everything from cigarettes to fuente cigars. I think they are putting in smoking rooms or something of the sort. It will really be interesting to see what happens when they finish.
