Trying Something New

I just did a bit of reading on some of the diet aids that I've never heard of. There was a clinislim review that sounded really interesting. The claim is that you can possibly lose 10lbs in 10 days. That might be a little extreme but considering it is a diuretic it may not be that far fetched. I would think that it might be something like Alli but stronger. I'm not sure if that's something I want to try again but it's always something to keep in mind.

Too Bright!

I'm so glad that I had decided to put up curtains. I've grown up with only blinds on my windows but the ones we have now don't do as much as we'd like because my mom insisted on some wooden ones that she wanted for the style. I don't know why because it's not her room it's ours and if and when we would switch she'd be remodeling anyway. Parents can be so weird. Anyway, the curtains really do help when the sun comes up because it ends up going in Yes-Yes's face. Good thing I didn't listen to mom there. LOL

Kind of Ackward

I remember the first time that I saw a male enhancement commercial with Yes-Yes. That was really weird. I think it was one of those "Smilin Bob" commercials. He didn't know what to make of it and wasn't really wanting to ask. I wasn't really wanting to talk about it either being totally unprepared. LOL Now there's so many of them including vigrx plus that it's almost the norm. I'm just waiting for No-No to start asking what those commercials are for. That will be the day...LOL!

Balding

When you see those hair loss treatment for men commercials what do you think of? Ever since I caught a glimpse of Jon & Kate when he had it done I end up seeing stitches and stuff. It really didn't look that pretty at all. I couldn't believe he even tried to put his hat back on with that big long cut in his head! That was pretty crazy. DH has wanted to do something about his thinning hair but I'm not sure he wants to go that far. Maybe we'll just pick up some creams or something and see what happens.

Starting Over

I ordered something a long time ago that is really supposed to work but I couldn't stick to it too well. I don't think I was all that motivated. Now that I'm looking for some type of quick weight loss diet again I think I'll pull it out and have another go at it. I can't stand being the weight that I am and it's starting to take a toll on my body too. Sometimes I can imagine myself looking like Jabba the Hut. I know it's not THAT bad but it's always worse to you than what other people see. LOL

LONG Weekends

I remember when I went to school or work how exciting it was to have a three day weekend. Now I can't really say too much because I'm always at home and when everyone's here for that long I start to go crazy. LOL The nice thing is that Yes-Yes is home to keep No-No out of my hair but then he gets just as cranky as she does and the day goes down the drain. Matter of fact I could really use a nap right now as it is. At least the weather has gotten nice and warm outside. I'm not sure how much more of the frequent rain we've been having I can take. If it's not one thing it's another.

Another Car?!

DH is thinking that he wants to get another car. The one he traded for is such a gas guzzler that he can't afford to go very far. LOL He was thinking of selling or adding another car that's more fuel efficient. So much work needed to be done on the car he has now that I'm not sure if we can have it done to another one too. Then there's more stuff like getting another auto insurance quote and stuff like that. He's thinking we can insure one for only half a year and the other fully but I don't know. Ugh, men...

Fine Lines

Ugh, I'm getting them...all around my eyes. Normally I don't notice until I HAVE to really look at my face while I'm putting on make-up and then it's rather depressing. I found a site called besteyecreams.org that reviews eye creams though and that will be a helpful tool for when I finally break down and buy some thing. This is definitely a sign that I'm not in my 20s anymore. LOL I just hope it doesn't end up so bad that I look like I was put through a wringer by the time I'm 50. Ah, aging...how fun it is.

A Little TOO Into It

Shopping is getting harder with No-No lately. She wants to touch everything she can and I'm always worried she'll totally wipe out the counter displays, wouldn't that be fun? LOL She is cute when it comes to clothes and has to put things up to her to see what they look like. She's such a girly girl when it comes to all that stuff. I'm not sure how many girls play soccer in their jelly shoes but yeah, she's definitely different. I just wish she'd be a little more aloof when it comes to the things at the stores...like we can afford to pay for something she's broken. That would be horrible.

I'm NOT a Designer

After I decided to change the room around and re-paint it I quickly realized that I may have wanted to leave it the way it was. LOL Since we don't have any money for all the neat modern styled design furniture that I like the room looks pretty icky to say the least. I did a good job on the color choices and stuff but the rest of it just seems dumpy. A while back I had changed things up and it looked really good but this time it was such a large overhaul I wanted that it didn't come out nearly like what I was thinking of. Oh well, there's another thing to save up for now. LOL

Saving Myself

I'm SUPER horrible with backing up anything on my computer, I can't actually say that I've ever even done it. LOL I've decided to look into online backup sources so I can feel a little more at ease. I know this computer isn't going to last me a whole lot longer considering how much I use it and I'd hate to lose everything that I've worked on. It'll really help with my new project too...I've already lost something once and had to start all over. I think I'm finally becoming some what organized! LOL

In Love Again :o)

DH and I have had SO many ups and downs over all the years that it can get really tiring and "you end up burning out". With our last ordeal came a new sense of bringing us closer together and we're back to where we were a long time ago. It's a relief to be able to talk to him again and have a more open and trusting feeling. There still is a bit of apprehension on my part since he's not yet on his meds but being able to laugh a lot again is REALLY freeing. I'm so happy with the way things have turned out even if it was because of something awful.

Diet "Miracle"

So Oprah had another diet show speaking of some "miracle". I watched it knowing that she wouldn't be talking about apidexin or anything like that but was interested all the same. That is until they really started talking. It was about the book "Women, Food and God" as it turned out. I've never read the book and I'm sure for some people it was an eye opener but for me it couldn't have been more mundane. I'm figuring that where we live gives us more of a regular insight into things that some people might not "see" because none of the stuff they talked about was "life altering" to me and most of it I already knew. I think the info would apply to any addict whether it's food or not and if you are an addict it's highly likely that you already know some of what she says in the book. All the same, I'm glad it was helpful to some people but for me I'm still looking to bring my own motivation up.

Drying Out

Ever since Yes-Yes was a little guy he's had really dry skin. His doctor used to tell us that all he needed was a highly moisturizing lotion but we've finally gotten him on some eczema treatment because it would drive him crazy. It's taken a long time but thank goodness he finally has some relief. I never knew if it was really eczema or not and I still don't really think it is but with the levels of irritation the dryness would cause it was just a pain.

Future Checkout Girl?

No-No loves this little cash register she got for Christmas, she does the funniest things with it. She doesn't know what the barcode scanner is for even though we've shown her and she uses the mic as if it were an actual phone and is always holding it to her head to talk. Of course the money is always thrown all over the place but she loves this little thing. It makes me wonder what she'll decide she wants to do when she grows up. She already has so much enthusiasm for so many things and shows a talent for many of them. Heck, I can't even dribble a soccer ball as well as she can.

Still Searching

I'm getting really frustrated that there doesn't seem to be any jobs out there that DH can/will do. He's getting way too picky regardless of what he can do. It's boiling down to me having to go back out to work and I really don't want to. Not only have I been spoiled over the last few years, I'm trying to get something together right now and it would stink if I had to stop and waste all the energy I already put into it. I do miss working though. I miss the people and especially getting out of the house everyday...and not gaining as much weight as I have either. LOL On top of everything, if I did leave to work No-No wouldn't be taken care of the way she needs to be so it's really better I stay home. I do miss people though...LOL.

Another One for the "Bad List"

I had the worst experience at one of our local Costcos yesterday. I realized it was Friday and their food area would be busy but I was no where near prepared for what was to come. We decided to order our pizzas as we checked out because we have an executive account, so we did it and waited. We went to "check in" and let them know we were there and the guy that helped us went over and asked how long the wait was coming back saying it'd be about 20 mins. Okay, that's reasonable...so we went back to wait. After about that we went back again, eight more minutes, okay. As we were waiting we watched two women piling pizzas into two shopping carts, it turned out they had ordered 22! Meanwhile a woman with four kids was standing next to me starting to go a little crazy, by now it had been almost an hour. Did I mention that on our second trip up there was a lady saying she called in nine pizzas? So we figured there were lots of phone orders, but where was ours? To make a long story short, they lost our order, no one ever actually confirmed they even had an order for us and we weren't the only one this happened to(!). My stepdad complained something to a manager who reimbursed us and another lady for the orders but it didn't end there. My mom decided to wait at the counter to make sure they were even making them and they weren't! TWICE the ONE girl at the register had to make sure they threw the things into an oven and both times they weren't in there. Overall with all the phone orders that they decided to prioritize over the people waiting in person, it took us about an hour and a half to get the two pizzas. The woman with the kids actually did a happy dance after waiting an hour for her ONE. I cannot believe how messed up (to say the least, I was saying a whole lot more yesterday) the system is there and I will never be buying pizza there again until they decide to upgrade the kitchen to the size it needs to be to handle the orders they decide to take. That was the single worst Costco experience we've ever had and we'll definitely be going to a different one for everything from now on.
