Single or Dual Purpose?

I STILL need a new camera and have hit a dilemma. Do I buy a regular point and shoot camera or do I save up for a digital camcorder that can also take stills? It would be nice to have motion since Yes-Yes never stands still but I'm not sure I can wait that long. LOL Since mine died I've been using my stepdad's and I think he's rather annoyed that I "stole" his, so I need to get something of my own soon. Really I don't even see why he needs one anyway, he hardly uses it and when he does the pictures never come out good at all. Ugh, decisions, decisions...
